In this article, you will get acquainted with the following information:
- What data regarding fake entries and duplicates is presented on the page?
- How to filter out fake entries and duplicates?
A duplicating location (duplicate) is a company with name/altname name and address matching one of your locations.
A fake location (fake) is a company with name/altname name matching your company, but the address does not.
Altnames are alternative names of a company that users can use to search for your locations.
Removing duplicates and fakes will allow you to:
- Improve search results. If the catalog system finds duplicated contact information for your company, it will lower both cards (main and duplicating/fake) in the results of the local search.
- Collect all user reviews, respond to them in a timely manner, and maintain the company's reputation.
- Get all user questions from Google cards, answer them, and turn them into real customers.
- Get rid of negativity and loss of customers. A user may enter a duplicating company card in the catalog with incorrect information and not be able to reach the phone number listed there or come during non-working hours.
- Avoid account blocking. If customers find that your data contradicts each other, they will begin to send complaints and report inaccuracies. This will attract the attention of Google/Yandex, and they, in turn, can block your company's account and delete your cards.
To go to this section, click on Duplicates and Fakes in the personal account menu.
Attention! If new duplicates or fakes have already been found, their amount will be indicated next to the field.
If you already have a license connected:
- The check will only be launched if the percentage of company synchronizations for one of the Google or Yandex catalogs reaches 70%. The search will only be performed for the service that has reached this percentage.
- When the second catalog reaches 70%, the check for it will be performed in the next launch.
The search takes place once a month from the date of the last search start.
When you go to the section, 2 page options may be displayed:
-
Main page with a list of duplicates and fakes. The results have been obtained, they are available for review and actions can be taken based on them.
-
Everything is fine, there are no duplicates and fakes! Here you can also go to the page with previous results.
What data regarding fake entries and duplicates is presented on the page?
The main page displays the date of the next search. Results will be available after the primary processing, which can take several days.
If a search is currently in progress and the page with previous results has been opened, the status Search in progress will be displayed instead of the date.
At the beginning of the section, the following data will be displayed:
- Number of all searches that have been launched.
- Number of companies that have been filtered out.
- Number of new duplicates.
- Number of new fakes.
- Number of duplicates and fakes under moderation - locations that are waiting for processing by BrandWizard employees to send a complaint to the catalog.
- Number of complaints submitted.
Also, a list of all found locations is displayed, showing:
- The catalog icon where the duplicate or fake was found.
- The date the location first appeared in search results on the service.
-
Name, address, category, and link to the source of the location found.
- The main location on which the duplicate was found.
- Company status and date of the last update.
