Page "Where to start?" 

 

This is the main page available to new clients after registering in the cabinet.

The instructions on this page will help you effectively navigate the first stage of setting up data management through the BrandWizard platform.

Key synchronization steps and a set of actions you need to take to move to the next step will be highlighted for you, as well as the status of the work/actions being performed by the BrandWizard team.

If an action is required from you, you will automatically land on this page when logging into your BrandWizard personal account. You can also access this page by clicking on the Where to start? block in the upper left corner.

 

What is the synchronization stage?

 

The synchronization stage involves a set of actions that must be performed on your side, as well as on the BrandWizard team's side, to manage data in location cards on Yandex, Google, 2GIS (URBI), and FB from your BrandWizard personal account.

The synchronization stage consists of 4 steps:

  1. Adding Companies - In this step, you provide data about your companies in one of the convenient ways for you; after the data is submitted and verified for accuracy, the BrandWizard team adds all your companies to your BrandWizard personal account.
  2. Connecting Accounts - Using the prompts in this step, you connect business accounts from 2GIS (URBI) and Google, as well as FB, to the BrandWizard platform; simultaneously, the BrandWizard team configures the Yandex platform with your support.
  3. Linking Companies - Independently or with the support of the BrandWizard team, in this step, the companies uploaded to the personal account will be linked - the data about the companies provided in the first step will be associated with your location cards on the platforms.
  4. Confirming Companies - After linking the companies, the BrandWizard team, together with you, confirms the data of your locations in the directories. This action is relevant for Google and Yandex directories.

At the first, third, and fourth steps, you will receive personalized recommendations for working with the platform. By following all the recommendations step by step, you will be able to customize your personal account for your business.

 

 

Alongside setting up accounts and connections, the recommendations will help you dive into the functionality, master working with a range of products and features, and explore the platform's capabilities.

By following the recommendations, you can start working with the platform from the very first step, gradually expanding your capabilities - with each step, more tools and functionalities will become available to you.

  1. Recommendations appear based on your actions in the section and purchased products.
  2. A recommendation is displayed only while the step is being processed.
  3. Recommendations will be considered completed after clicking the button and transitioning to the product section. There are exceptions for the recommendations Set up review collection from platforms (you need to click the button and add a link for collecting reviews for any available directory) and Create a post in Google, Yandex, and social media geoservices (you need to click the button and create a post).
  4. If there is no license for any product, recommendations for enabling a trial period will appear, which will disappear only after activation.
  5. At step 4, recommendations will be displayed in the following cases:
    • If the status In Processing is displayed for one of the directories.
    • If the linking for one of the directories has been completed.

Next, we will consider each step in detail.

 


 

STEP 1: Adding Companies

 

First, you need to add your companies to your BrandWizard personal account. For this, a manager will contact you and provide the existing data about your companies.

Data loading is fully handled by the BrandWizard team; you only need to verify the data for accuracy and make changes if necessary. This action will allow initially correct data about your companies to be uploaded into the platform's system.

For those companies that need to be additionally added to the system, you can use one of the available data transfer methods, such as a feed adapter (we retrieve information about the companies from your website ourselves) or a feed. You can consult with the manager about the data transfer options or refer to the available information in this article.

The received data about the companies will undergo moderation by the BrandWizard team. As soon as they are taken into work, the status In Processing will appear on the personal account page.

If there are erroneous or incomplete data, you will receive a request from the BrandWizard manager for clarification or correction.

After the moderation process is completed and necessary changes are made (if there are erroneous or incomplete data), the stage will be completed.

 

 


 

STEP 2: Account connection

 

At this step, business accounts from directories are linked to your BrandWizard personal account. This is necessary to set up the ability to manage changes in your company profiles in directories through the BrandWizard platform.

Connecting accounts for 2GIS (URBI), Google, and FB is done by you through the BrandWizard personal account (detailed information about connecting accounts is provided below in the text).

Connecting the Yandex account is done by the BrandWizard team together with you.

To link the accounts, in the second step block, click the Connect Account button and select this action for each platform step by step.

 

 

Connecting Google and FB
 

  1. After clicking the Connect Account button, a window will open where you will need to log in/select the corresponding Google account to which your companies (locations) will subsequently be linked.



  2. After connecting the corresponding account, in the GBP account settings, you need to grant access to the group of linked company addresses to the BrandWizard manager (you can find out how to grant access via the link).

The FB account is added in the same way as the Google account: click the Connect Account button. A window will open where you will need to log in/select the corresponding FB account.

 

 

After these actions, the accounts will be displayed in the list of linked accounts in your BrandWizard personal account (you can find out which of your accounts are already linked to the BrandWizard platform via the link).

 

Connecting 2GIS (URBI)

 

  1. Select the 2GIS (URBI) field from the list for connection and click the Connect Account button. A window will open where you will need to fill in the corresponding fields and click the Confirm button.
  2. After that, provide your manager with the login for the 2GIS (URBI) personal account to set up the review collection process from this platform.


     
     

The Contact Person Name field is the data of your company's representative who can confirm the accuracy of the information about the company being transmitted to the maps.

An employee from 2GIS (URBI) will contact the contact person to clarify the accuracy of the information before publishing it on the map. If the contact person does not confirm the information, the data change on the map will not occur.

Connecting Yandex

 

  1. In your Yandex account, you need to provide rights for the email, which will be provided to you by the BrandWizard manager. You can find out more about this here
  2. After receiving the rights, the BrandWizard team will check the necessary settings and proceed to the next step for this directory - Company Linking.

 


 

STEP 3: Company Linking

At this step, the companies that were added to the platform's personal account in the first step are linked to your location cards on the maps (based on the accounts connected in the second step).

The linking process will occur as follows:

  • Google, FB - you can independently link companies on the Sources page using the instructions (Google and FB), or click the Do it for me button - the request will automatically go to your manager for linking with the support of the BrandWizard team;

     
     
  • 2GIS (URBI) - the linking of companies occurs automatically due to the partnership between 2GIS (URBI) and BrandWizard;
  • Yandex - linking is done on the side of the BrandWizard team based on the previously provided rights to the Yandex account, no additional actions are required from you.

Linking Google Business Profile

  1. To link companies with the Google directory, click the Link Companies button.



  2. You will be taken to a page with the first step of linking, where a list of all previously added GBP accounts will be presented. Select the account to which the companies will be linked.



  3. In step 2, you will see a list of all locations that were added earlier and are available for linking to the Google account. Select the companies to link - check the boxes next to the appropriate ones, and click the Start Linking button.
    For convenience in working with the list of companies, use:
    — the Search Companies field - enter the company name and get a relevant list according to the specified name. 
    — the Brands field - enter the brand name and get a list of companies of that brand only.

     

  4. After clicking the Start Linking button, the linking process will begin. For all companies that are already marked on the map, the linking will be done automatically. For some locations, it may be necessary to take action - among the found companies on the account or maps, you need to Select the one to which we will link the location in the personal account.



    If some locations are missing on the maps - you can check the Create box. They will be added and automatically linked to the companies in the personal account.
     

Linking FB

 

To link locations with FB, click the Link Companies button in the corresponding field. A page will open where you need to choose one of the options:

  • Single linking - if you need to link one location.
  • Bulk linking - if you need to link all unsynchronized locations of the brand.

You can read more about FB linking here. After completing all actions, the linking with FB is finished, and the platform is available for data work through the BrandWizard platform.

 

 


 

STEP 4: Company Confirmation

 

At this step, you need to confirm your companies on the maps. If more than 80% of the companies are created and confirmed on the maps, this step will be marked as completed.

Confirmation occurs as follows:

  • 2GIS (URBI) - the BrandWizard team transfers your company data to the directory. After that, 2GIS (URBI) employees contact the responsible person specified in step two directly by phone. This action is necessary to confirm your company data.
  • Yandex - this is done by you in your personal account, or you can contact your technical specialist on the BrandWizard side.
  • Google - this is done by you personally or with the support of the BrandWizard team, depending on your country, the number of locations, and other directory requirements. You can consult with your manager about the relevant confirmation method for your company or review the available confirmation options via the link.

Google Confirmation
 

When working with a Google account, the BrandWizard team determines the most relevant confirmation method for your company that meets all directory criteria. The following methods are available for confirming locations on Google maps:

  • Bulk confirmation - implies a one-time launch to confirm all your locations on Google maps.
  • Single confirmation - is carried out via a video stream directly at the location address sent for confirmation. You can consult your manager about the process or via the link.

     

You have the option of self-confirmation of companies. After clicking the Confirm Companies button, the system will redirect you to the Unconfirmed Companies page, where a list of companies linked to your Google account that require ownership confirmation is presented.

  • When launching single confirmation, you have the option to request a confirmation code for the location, which will be sent to the phone number specified in your Google account.
  • When launching bulk confirmation - the launch is carried out by the BrandWizard team, with support from the client. During the process with this method, the manager will inform you of the necessary actions for successful confirmation completion.
     

Yandex Confirmation

 

To confirm your companies on Yandex maps, click the Confirm Companies button in the corresponding field. You will be redirected to a page with a list of companies for confirmation. The following methods are available for confirming locations:

  • Bulk confirmation of the group - implies a one-time launch to confirm your locations on Yandex maps.
  • Single confirmation - is carried out by you through a request for a code via SMS or a phone call.
