Google verification via real-time video meeting with BrandWizard
You can confirm a company via video meeting without the help of a BrandWizard manager. You can find out more about this here.
When verifying a company in Google via video call with the help of our manager, a call must be conducted with a BrandWizard employee and a Google representative to confirm the actual location of your business.
The call takes place in real time. During the video, you may be asked to show the building number sign, the company signboard, as well as premises accessible only to your employees.
A BrandWizard representative initiates the meeting with a Google employee, coordinates it with you in advance, and sends a link that your employee must use to join. This employee must be physically present at the location that needs to be verified. The connection link will be available right before the meeting.
Steps required from your employee to conduct the meeting:
- Install the Google Meet app on their phone.
- Sign in to Google Meet using any Google account.
- Ensure you can contact the employee to provide them with the meeting link.
How to install Google Meet:
- Find the official app in Google Play (Android) or App Store (iPhone). It will most likely appear first in the list. Click Install. The installation process is the same as for any other app.
- Open the installed app and sign in with a Google account. There are two possible scenarios:
- You will be prompted to sign in with a Google account already logged in on the device.
- Or you will need to enter the login and password of the account you plan to use for the meeting.
- Grant access to the camera and microphone. Access to contacts and enabling notifications is optional.
After completing all steps, you will be able to join the call with Google employees. A BrandWizard specialist will send you the meeting link, which you must follow to connect. After joining via the link, wait until the meeting organizer accepts the invitation.
Important! You must join the Google call within 2 minutes. The Google employee will not wait longer than 5 minutes and will simply end the call if you do not show up.
Communication with Google employees is conducted in English, and we handle the conversation during the meeting.
During the video call, to verify the company at the specified address, you may need to show:
- The external signboard — a permanent structure displaying the company name.
- The road and surroundings, possibly an address plate, to confirm the company’s location.
- The reception area, employee workspace, and/or the premises in general to confirm the company’s activity.
- The cashier area (payment terminals, cash shelf) — shown in a wide shot to demonstrate access to the cash desk.
- Service rooms.
- A work computer and/or the company website.
- A local employee at work.
Requirements for the meeting may vary depending on the specific Google representative. The scenario above describes the general process and possible options. In practice, most meetings require only showing the signboard, street view, cash desk, and premises in a wide shot.
You can send this memo to your employees who will participate in the video call at the required address:
